Delayed Obedience

“I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.” - Psalm 119:60

Has God given you a mission or a job to do? Has He made it clear about His purpose for you? Once God reveals His mission for your life, do not delay; get started right away.

Delayed obedience is disobedience. One of the worst things you can do is delay the plans of God. When God gives you clarity, there is a reason He is doing so, because He wants you to get right on it.

There is a time and place for everything, and it is not your job to determine the time or the place. But worse, by delaying God’s timing, you could miss out on the plan and purpose He had for you, and ultimately, you could miss out on His blessing.

Psalm 119:60 says, “I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.”
As someone who wants to help you, listen; do not delay in obeying God. There is a reason for His timing, and only He knows the right time. But when He makes it clear to you, make sure you are ready to respond.

So many believers will hear a message or go to a camp or retreat. God will pour into them, and they will be so pumped to come back and execute all that God revealed to them while they were away.

But once they get back, and the fire is gone, they procrastinate. They utter the dangerous words, “I’ll start tomorrow.” The only problem is when “tomorrow” becomes every day for the next year...the next three years...the next 10 years, and you miss out on the ways God wanted to use you.

Don’t delay any longer. Delayed obedience is disobedience. Has God made His purpose clear in your life? Awesome, get to work! Don’t delay for another second. His timing is everything.
