Desperate for God in Our Work Life
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
As believers, we know that our faith should not be confined to the four walls of a church building. Rather, our faith should be reflected in every area of our lives, including our work life. When we are desperate for God, it means that we seek His will and His purpose in every aspect of our lives, including our careers.
When we are desperate for God in our work life, we recognize that our jobs are not just a means to an end, but an opportunity to serve God through the work we do. We understand that our work is not just about earning a paycheck, but about fulfilling God's purpose for our lives.
Being desperate for God in our work life also means that we prioritize His will above our own ambitions and desires. We seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and trust that everything else will fall into place. We don't just rely on our own strength and abilities, but on the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us in our work.
When we are desperate for God in our work life, we also see our jobs as an opportunity to serve others. We work with integrity and excellence, knowing that our work is a reflection of our faith. We seek to make a positive impact on those around us, whether it's through our words, actions, or the work that we do.
As we seek to be desperate for God in our work life, let us remember the words of Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." When we prioritize God's will in our work, we can trust that He will provide for our needs and bless our efforts.
Let us be a light in our workplaces, reflecting the love and grace of Jesus in all that we do. May our work be an act of worship to God, and may we see our jobs as a means to serve Him and make a difference in the world.
