Is God Your #1 Priority?
"You shall have no other gods before me." - Exodus 20:3
Let's talk about priorities. We all have them—those things that take precedence in our lives, that occupy the top spot on our to-do lists and in our hearts. But here's the question: is God truly your #1 priority?
It's a question worth thinking about, isn't it? Because here's the truth: God doesn't share His place. He doesn't settle for second best. He desires—and deserves—to be the foremost focus of our lives.
But all too often, we allow other things to take precedence. We chase after success, pursue pleasure, and seek approval from others—all while God takes a backseat in our lives. And in doing so, we miss out on the abundant life that He promises us.
I want to challenge you today to take a closer look at your priorities. Ask yourself: is God truly #1 in my life? Does He hold the highest position in my heart, above all else?
If the answer is anything less than a resounding yes, it's time to make a change. It's time to reevaluate your commitments, your habits, and your desires and realign them with God's will for your life.
Because here's the thing: when God is truly our #1 priority, everything else falls into place. Our relationships are healthier, our decisions are wiser, and our lives are more fulfilling. When we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things are added unto us (Matthew 6:33).
So, let me encourage you to make God your #1 priority today. Put Him first in your thoughts, your actions, your affections. Seek Him with all your heart and watch as He transforms your life in ways you never thought possible.
Remember, God doesn't share His place. But when He is truly #1 in your life, you'll discover a joy, a peace, a fulfillment that surpasses anything this world has to offer.
