WAIT
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!" - Psalm 37:7
There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves in the uncomfortable space of waiting on God. We pray earnestly, seeking His guidance, His direction, and His answer. Yet, despite our fervent prayers, sometimes God remains silent. In these times, it can be tempting to take matters into our own hands, to forge ahead with our own plans and ideas. But God calls us to a different response—He calls us to wait.
Waiting on God doesn't mean passivity or inaction. It's not about idly sitting by, but rather about actively trusting in His timing and His wisdom. It's about surrendering our desires and our plans to Him, knowing that He sees the bigger picture and has a perfect plan for us.
Think about the Israelites wandering in the wilderness. For forty years, they journeyed through the desert, waiting for God to lead them to the Promised Land. There were times when they grew impatient and grumbled against God, longing for the comfort and security they had known in Egypt. But God remained faithful, guiding them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. And when the time was right, He led them into the land flowing with milk and honey.
In our own lives, there are seasons of waiting—times when we long for clarity, for direction, for answers. It's during these times that our faith is truly tested. Will we trust in God's timing, even when it doesn't align with our own? Will we continue to seek His will, even when His voice seems silent?
As we wait on God, remember that He is always at work behind the scenes, orchestrating events according to His perfect plan. Choose to trust Him, even when we don't understand His ways. And let's remain steadfast in prayer, seeking His guidance and His peace.
In the waiting, we will find strength in His promises, courage in His presence, and hope in His unfailing love. For when the time is right, He will make His will known to us, and we will see His faithfulness unfold in ways beyond our imagination.

I needed today's devotion "WAIT" 7-14-24 so badly! Thank you so much for posting these. This is where I am actually at in my life is waiting on God to come through for me with my VA claims. They Army National Guard, had kicked me out for medical leave because I was diagnosed with Crohn's and I had 15 years of service in then while at home I get a notification email that all my health insurance (Tricare) is gone and a letter that I have been separated from the Army with no benefits or anything. So I filed in 2019 and they denied me. So I filed again this year at the end of April and have been praying and waiting on something to happen and to hear from them. Please pray for me! God bless all of you and your ministry.
