The Way I Want

“But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. And remember that those who do not have the Spirit living in them do not belong to Him at all.” - Romans 8:9

When you give your life to Christ, His grace and mercy are extended to you. There are so many privileges and blessings of following Jesus Christ. There is no greater choice you can make in your life.

Once you have given your life to Him, you are no longer a slave to sin, no longer crippled by confusion, and no longer forsaken. You are forgiven, and your sins have been wiped away. God has a will for your life that is perfect. And if you will obey Him, He wants to give you His very best.

Sounds pretty perfect, right? Well, when we are obedient it is! The problem is, we must give up our sinful ways if we want to experience all that God has for us. This means we can no longer just live the way we want. We can’t just do what we want, living wild and reckless. We must give our lives to Him.

Romans 8:9 says, “But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. And remember that those who do not have the Spirit living in them do not belong to Him at all.”

When you choose God, you are making a decision – Him over sin. It’s His way and no longer our way. Sin will lead us down a dark and painful road. But God wants to give you the very best life you could possibly live.

To experience His best, all you have to do is live His way. But that first requires giving up your way. The choice is yours, but you can’t do what you want and have all His blessings. Will you choose to live His way or your way?
