His Purpose Prevails
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” - Proverbs 19:21
Did you know that you can’t mess up God’s plans? That is right, even when you oppose Him or directly disobey Him, God’s purpose will prevail. The only question is whether you will be with Him or against Him.
Sometimes, we think we know exactly what God is going to do. So we become surprised when things go off course. But God is never surprised. Even when people seem to mess up His plans, they are actually just following exactly what He expected.
Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”
Now, this does not mean that you can just do whatever you want, and God will work it out for you. There are consequences to disobeying the Lord. And as a result, He might use someone else to accomplish what He intended for you to do. But what it does mean is that you do not have to be perfect.
Sometimes we think we have ruined God’s plans when we mess up. But that just isn’t the case. When God is involved, you do not have the power to “ruin” His plans. He is a God with infinite power and infinite resources, He can accomplish whatever He wants, however He wants.
Have you ever felt like you have ruined God’s plans for your life? If so, I have good news for you today: you haven’t. When you are doing your best to follow God’s plan, He will make a way. Even when you mess up, He can correct your steps. No matter what, God’s purpose will prevail. He ALWAYS WINS.
The only question is, will you be a part of it, or will you be watching it?
