Perfect in His Eyes
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” - Psalm 139:14
Are you thankful for the way God made you? You know He didn’t make a single mistake when He created you, right? God created you EXACTLY as He intended for you to be. How you look (physically), how you act (emotionally), how you think (mentally), and your relationship with Him (spiritually), He made you to be exactly who you are.
It is so easy for us to start scrolling on Instagram or TikTok and think... “I wish I had her hair.” “If only I had His arms.” “If I was funny like that guy...” “If I was as popular as she is...” And we take ourselves down this miserable road of wishing that we were someone we were never meant to be.
God didn’t create you to be him or her. He created you to be...YOU. Yesterday, we talked about how God is all about YOU. We serve a personal God who wants a deep and personal relationship with us. But He doesn’t want that with some other version of us or for the us that impersonates so and so.
God wants you to be you. Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
You are perfect in His eyes. Does this mean we can still self-improve? Of course. But that doesn’t mean we change who we are. You were never meant to be version 2.0 of someone else. You were meant to be the one and only, original YOU.
Are you happy with who you are? God is. He created you exactly as He intended. And He loves who He made you to be. You are perfect in His eyes!
