A Different Game

“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” - Matthew 21:22 
 
Have you ever heard one of these “financial gurus” talking about how the billionaires of the world are doing it? They give “inside information” about the strategies of people like Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk.

There is an interesting phrase these “gurus” like to say when describing the richest of the rich. They will say, “he is playing a different game.” You might have heard the phrase, “he is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.”  

Basically, this idea is that these highly successful people are operating in an entirely different way than everyone else. So, what is their secret? Well, I’m not even going to try and break down the secrets of the billionaires.  

But I can tell you about the secret of those who are having incredible success living out God’s mission for their lives. Have you ever seen someone and just wondered what’s different about that guy or that girl?  

It seems like even in adversity, they are unphased. What’s different is that they have an unfailing faith and belief in the God they serve. How do you play “a different game” than everyone else? You have faith like no one else.
 
Matthew 21:22 says, “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” 
Imagine being able to do that. Imagine being able to pray for something and know that you have it because you truly and genuinely believed it. Now, you might go and try to do this tonight, but it doesn’t work like that.

Because faith isn’t just hope. It’s not wishful thinking. It is a true belief that God will do it. Do you want to play a different game? Have an unfailing faith – a faith that isn’t based on life’s circumstances, but a faith that is purely based on the God you serve.
