A Purposeful Gift
“To another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these empowered by one and the same spirit, who apportions to each one individually as He wills.” - 1 Corinthians 12:10-11
As we continue to look at the spiritual gifts God has given us, I want you to understand something. Not only are the gifts God has given you personal, but they are also PURPOSEFUL. God gave you gifts for a specific purpose that only you can fulfill.
1 Corinthians 12:10-11 says, “To another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these empowered by one and the same spirit, who apportions to each one individually as He wills.”
God doesn’t just hand out random gifts to random people. Have you ever heard that you were created with a purpose? Well, not only were you created with a purpose, but you were given purposeful gifts to accomplish His plan.
Do you know the purpose of your gifts? You might have already figured out what those gifts are, but do you know their purpose? Maybe you are really good at teaching, but you don’t want to be a school teacher.
How are you going to use that gift? How will you use the gifts God has given you? Each gift you have is on purpose. If you don’t already know, it might be time to figure out what that purpose is. Ask God to reveal the purpose of your spiritual gifts and allow Him to reveal how He plans on you using them.
Your gifts aren’t a coincidence. Your gifts are PURPOSEFUL!
